Zithande means to love yourself, which means all our product unde Zithande are designed with self-care, and our customer needs in mind. Our Story

Zitahnde was inspired by a 15 year-old girl who didn’t want to use a specific brand of sanitary pads (Brand A) and preferred an alternative brand (Brand B). This sparked the thought of why would this young lady prefer brand B over brand A? On doing some market research we identified that there was no locally manufactured alternative to these brands as these are American brands. Upon further investigation, we found that 30% of imported sanitary pads were from China, which are poor quality therefore compromising the health of our South African woman, teens and most of all, those in need.

We all know COVID-19 and its variants, one in particular, the Omnicron, which was first discovered by a South African scientist. We know of the dolos invention, which is used to protect the harbour walls from the erosive force of ocean waves. The world’s first successful heart transplantation is credited to Dr Christiaan Barnard. Apollo 11 Eagle landing craft carried about Pratley’s Putty. Allan Macleod Cormack invented CAT Scan. If you have not made the connection yet, all of the above inventions and discoveries were made here in South Africa. We certainly have the potential to rely on ourselves and our talents, so why have the American and Chinese sanitary pads dominated our market?

We anticipate a monthly revenue averaging R44 million, achieved through the production of an impressive 4,000,000 high-quality sanitary pads per month. Just like what African Bank raised fund through public (to be verified), we extend a heartfelt invitation to the public, private investors, and organizations to join us on this remarkable journey. Our objective is to secure a total of R18.8 million as the 10% owner's contribution, and, in return, we offer equity in our visionary project.
